My son, Nolan, is a point fighter. He loves it. From the time he was a yellow belt, his coaches have encouraged him to pursue martial arts fighting. When we moved to Cumming, GA he discovered point fighting. Because of his talent he was encouraged to tryout for the tournament team when he was 10 years old.

We started going to local tournaments as part of the team. Our coaches at our home dojo and the coaches of our tournament team are patient, helpful, and provide wonderful information. About a year ago, he got very serious about competing as a point fighter. He will eventually outgrow our school team move on to a bigger one. He has big goals and I have so many questions!
Beyond the Belt will compile content from interviews with parents who's kids are or have been Elite Sport Karate Champions. Each interview will ask a set of uniform questions. Guests will also have the opportunity to answer questions specific to their athlete, as well as give advice and guidance to the parents of up and coming Elite Sport Karate Athletes.
